Lilo thinks it’s too long since she’s been in a blog post. So she asked me to write a thriftiness post featuring one of her favorite forms of prey:
The number 2 pencil!
If your cat is not familiar with this wonder, just wiggle a pencil in front of its face a few times, or maybe tap it on the floor gently. These maneuvers are always sure to bring out Lilo’s inner predator.
She has more fun when I’m holding one end of the pencil, but it wasn’t easy to take pictures of me doing that. So here instead is a gallery of Lilo hoarding her kill.
Is that a rawr or a yawn?
Is someone trying to steal it from me?
When the pencil starts slipping out of her front paws, sometimes she kicks at it with the back ones try to direct it back up — or maybe to rekill it, because clearly it must be alive if it’s moving, right?
She also likes to bite pencils a lot. I encourage this. She doesn’t actually swallow the pencils, unlike when she chews on fabric.
